This first performance piece has been ignited as my identity corresponds with the demographic impacted, as well as reflected on my practices and practising participation as someone learning to be Tangata Tiriti.

 

The next step is to nurture, maintain and uplift the performance and culture of Tamaki Makaurau, especially about the disproportionate impact on minority communities. Māori and Pacific creative fall under those impacted as well as being the least funded in comparison to their pakeha counterparts. We aim to collaborate and uplift Māori and Pacific creativity initiatives and merge all the voices to have a say in the impact. This is in hopes of creating an intervention between the party affected and the party on the deciding line.
